Royal Road 04:12
ROYAL ROAD The pain, the strain The life I left behind The guilt and the shame And all the fears I hide I spent all night flying Above this lonely world Then I started falling Till I woke up in my bed So frozen, afraid I couldn’t even scream Then I realized That it was just a dream They keep on coming back Dressed in colours and wearing masks This is the mirror Of the unconscious mind Distorted reflections Of waking life A movie plays in my head I have the starring role I meet my inner self there Every night I take the royal road Every night I take the road That leads to my unconscious mind Desires and urges Repressed and locked away They all must be released In some way Once again last night I was talking with the dead Then I started crying Till I woke up in my bed So frightened, so happy I couldn’t even scream Then I realized That it was just a dream They keep on coming back Dressed in colours and wearing masks This is the mirror Of the unconscious mind Distorted reflections Of waking life A movie plays in my head I have the starring role I meet my inner self there Every night I take the royal road

Fragments 04:37
FRAGMENTS This perfect universe No god or man has made It ever was and will be An ever-living flame The sun is new each day A never-ending change Everything is in flux Nothing remains the same Can you hide From what never goes away? The fire burns eternally Eternity is a child at play Thinking well is excellence Act and speak what’s true Though nature loves to hide Her gold is inside you The universal Reason What opposes unites From all comes one, and from one all By strife all things arise Can you hide From what never goes away? Reason is the king of this world Your character is your fate

Diotima 04:29
DIOTIMA Tell me What Love really is? God or mortal, Or something in between? Maybe Love is the son Of Resource and Poverty He is starved and clever Once, somebody taught me that… Love desires immortality Searches for the beauty in everything Wants to possess the good eternally Happiness is all he really needs Because this is The final end of all desires First, it was Your body that I longed for Then, I found A treasure in your soul I know the time will come That I will fall in love With everything I see Once somebody taught me that… Love desires immortality Searches for the beauty in everything Wants to possess the good eternally Happiness is all he really needs Because this is The final end of all desires I call your name Whenever I want to touch the sun

USE YOUR MIND Turn the TV on Fade into oblivion Fall on your knees Pray to the Father And find your peace You’re always taking the drug that helps you Escape your own reality You’re waiting for the Messiah to come And save you from your misery You can change yourself Just use your mind! You can change the world It’s in your hands! Come on, get off the couch And get out there It’s time for you To spread your wings and fly Open your eyes and see You don’t need saviours Knowledge begins When you wonder “why?” You think you’re so free You stay informed by watching TV You want a better life First you vote for liars, then you pay the price Democracy without knowledge Is another kind of dictatorship Remember, when you follow the herd You end up stepping in shit! You can change yourself Just use your mind! You can change the world It’s in your hands! Come on, get off the couch And get out there It’s time for you To spread your wings and fly Open your eyes and see You don’t need saviours Knowledge begins When you wonder “why?” Only you can save yourself…

THE PRICE OF APATHY The world is an angry place Life is a mess The beauty around us is dying What’s really going on? Nothing makes sense Something’s wrong with humankind I wonder why We’ve lost our way We’ve taken the wrong path Why haven’t we learned anything From the mistakes of the past? Now we pay The price for our choices And we live a life of misery If we don’t know ourselves, Then we cannot change Our destiny The unexamined life Is not worth living We should analyze our actions The price of apathy is Pain and suffering Poverty, loss and destruction I wonder why We’ve lost our way We’ve taken the wrong path Why haven’t we learned anything From the mistakes of the past? Now we pay The price for our choices And we live a life of misery If we don’t know ourselves, Then we cannot change Our destiny

THE HOURGLASS Life is like an hourglass And we are but grains of sand Why can’t we turn it upside down, When our time is up? We’re floating on the seas of time Trying to make our lives sublime Remember, nothing’s permanent Live life as fully as you can Time is moving fast, slipping away, It never comes back The past is just a faded memory The future’s in our hands No man ever steps in the same river twice We rush but we don’t know why We forget to live before we die Life is here and now There is no afterlife We’re floating on the seas of time Trying to make our lives sublime Remember, nothing’s permanent Live life as fully as you can Time is moving fast, slipping away, It never comes back The past is just a faded memory The future’s in our hands No man ever steps in the same river twice Yesterday’s already gone Tomorrow may never come Today is all we really have Time waits for no one Life is like an hourglass

LOVE AND DEATH Death is the ruler of the universe The leader of the world The dominant law Life is a field of possibilities Only one thing is certain The fact that one day we will die Everything we do in our life Aim at the end If you want to endure life, Prepare yourself for death Life is short, time is fast We love ourselves too much This love creates the fear of death And when the time comes for us to die We simply pay the price For the gifts that life gave us Don’t be afraid When we exist, death is not yet present No agony When death is present, then we do not exist What we call nature, birth, creation, Is the meeting of being with nothingness Fondness and dispute, upon these forces The whole drama of life takes place Death and love are one and the same What unites also separates You know that there is no afterlife But there’s a remedy against the fear of death Live a happy life, as fully as possible Live each day like it’s your last

Choices 04:38
CHOICES Choices define the life you lead You are always torn between Good and evil, right and wrong Choose the path you’ll walk upon What you call fate is such a lie You spin the thread of your own life There are no Gods It’s all in your hands You are the sum of the choices you’ve made It’s only you, there is no one else to blame You’re only here briefly, there is no promised land No life after death, you only live once Sometimes the brain creates the pain You flirt with loss while you can gain You can be anything you wanna be If your free will is really free Try to find out, it’s hard to find When you’re a victim of your own mind No divine plans It’s all in your hands You are the sum of the choices you’ve made It’s only you, there is no one else to blame You’re only here briefly, there is no promised land No life after death, you only live once
